One of my favorite bands of the past few years, The Avett Brothers, is coming to OKC March 3 for their I & Love & You Tour. I’ve been excited to go for a while, but I’m more excited now.
My friend Jake is helping with promotion for the show and he asked me to design a gig poster. I’ve been drooling over posters from shops like The Small Stakes, Vahalla Studios and Aesthetic Apparatus for years now, so I jumped at the chance. Here are some early ideas for the poster. I’m waiting on some direction from the promoter before I develop them any more. They’re all very different approaches, but I think I like the last one with the gears best.
